In 2019 I started "Project Earth", where I ́m experimenting and mixing natural resources with artificial such as soil, clay, wax, salt, pigments, oil, acryl, and ink into my creations. I ́m examining nature and the circle of pollution to raise awareness by setting up scenes, compositions and installations as in my latest exhibition in THE FACTORY in Djupavík/ Iceland.

My ideas are like birds that fly through my mind and if I don´t grab them they will be lost.

My creations arise out of impulse. When an idea comes to me I have to implement it immediately or it is lost. I´m a vigilant observer of my surroundings which are intertwined in my work. The topic is then more important than the media I choose for it.

I’m ambushed by periods of immense creativity where I´m almost possessed by a "diety of creativity". I these moments the only way to not go mad is to do something with my energy. Suddenly from nowhere, I can be afflicted by a very ephemeral idea that I must immediately grab hold of and put into a tangible form.

I like playing with the elements of nature and aspects of higher force. The humanly uncontrollable.

I´m always starting out with complete chaos on the ground, bringing the material and paint to flow and then stopping it from spreading out using all thoughts of material such as pieces of paper, my hands, or a hairdryer. It is like bringing order to my chaos.

Chaos is a big theme of mine. I´m constantly surrounded by it inside and out. We all are. We are all trying to control this mess which is always considered bad in society but chaotic behaviour exists in many natural systems, including fluid flow, heartbeat irregularities, weather, and climate. Chaos was the first god in greek mythology and was the primal feature of the universe before Gaia (Earth) and Uranus (Sky) emerged.

My artwork and the process of making mirrors the power, the beauty, the life, the chaos, the struggle, the diversity, and the fragility of nature and us. Spreading the message. No matter what. There is always a way and you can create it yourself with trust and belief. You can create everything you want. A new Universe. A new Galaxy. A new life.
